Ownership
Finsure is ultimately owned by MA Financial Group Limited (ACN 142 008 428). We will only ever assist you with the credit product we believe is best for you and your circumstances. If we introduce you to a loan from MA Financial Group Limited or any of its subsidiaries, we will disclose that ownership relationship to you again so you understand the connection.
The services we provide
We provide information on a broad range of finance providers and loan products. Once you have chosen a loan or lease that suits you, we assist in obtaining approval for that finance.
We source products from a panel of finance providers. The lenders our representatives most commonly introduce borrowers to are:
- Macquarie Bank
- Resimac Prime
- CBA
- Firstmac
- NAB
- Bluestone
- Bankwest
- Finsure Loans THRIVE
- La Trobe
- Brighten Home Loans
- Plenti
- Auswide Bank
- Finsure Loans PLUS
Our full accreditation list runs to more than fifty lenders, including the major banks, regional banks, non-banks and specialist lenders. Accreditations change over time.
Information we will need from you
Before we suggest or assist you with entering into a loan or lease, or increasing the credit limit on an existing loan, we must assess whether that credit would be unsuitable for you. To do that we will:
- make reasonable enquiries about your borrowing objectives and requirements
- make reasonable enquiries about your financial situation
- take reasonable steps to verify the details of your financial situation
Credit is unsuitable if, at the time of the assessment, it is likely you would be unable to repay it — or could only repay it with substantial hardship — or if it does not meet your stated requirements and objectives.
If we provide you with credit assistance, we will give you a copy of our preliminary credit assessment setting out how we considered the product we suggested.
Information we provide
We do not provide financial or legal advice. It is important to understand your legal obligations under a proposed loan or lease and the financial consequences of the debt. If you have any doubts, obtain independent financial and legal advice before entering a finance contract.
We make no representations about the current value of any real estate you finance through us, or the future prospects of its value. Always rely on your own enquiries.
Fees payable by you
We may charge a fee for our services if you apply for a home loan, an investment property loan, a personal loan or a lease. Where a fee applies, it is disclosed to you in a Credit Quote before you apply for finance — you will never encounter a fee from us that you have not already seen and agreed to.
You may also need to pay fees to the finance provider as part of the application. Those are set out in the Credit Proposal Disclosure Document we provide before you apply.
Commissions we receive
We may receive commissions from the finance provider that provides your loan or lease. These are not fees payable by you. Details of the commission earned on your loan are set out in the Credit Proposal Disclosure Document provided before you apply for finance.
We may also receive additional commissions or bonuses from finance providers relating to the volume of finance we arrange. These depend on a number of factors and cannot be quantified at this point.
Commissions and fees we pay
We and our representatives receive referrals from a broad range of sources, and may pay commissions or fees to call centres, real estate agents, accountants, solicitors or other businesses for referring you to us. These are not fees payable by you. Any referral fee or commission relating to your referral is disclosed in the Credit Proposal Disclosure Document given to you before you apply for finance.
If you have a complaint
We hope you are delighted with our services. If you are not, contact us first — 0433 668 832 or Lisa@capfinder.com.au — or the licensee’s Complaints Manager at complaints@finsure.com.au. We aim to resolve complaints within five business days.
If it will take longer than five business days, we will keep you updated on progress and provide a written response once the investigation is complete, setting out the outcome and the reasons for our decision.
External dispute resolution
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, or you have not heard from us within 30 days, you may refer the matter to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) — an ASIC-approved external dispute resolution scheme. It is free to you and gives you access to an independent mechanism for resolving disputes.

We collect personal and financial information about you in order to provide our broking services. How we collect, use, disclose and store that information — including disclosure to lenders, credit reporting bodies and service providers, some of whom are located overseas — is set out in full in our privacy policy.
